It has been too long...

CJ's favorite person, besides me..and his auntie...is his beautiful Mina. Since CJ was born he got to see her everyday. That made my decision to move out of state hard for everyone. Luckily for CJ he got a visitor recently. His Mina came and spent the weekend with us. Mina was worried CJ wouldn't remember her. I knew as much as this little boy loved her, that just wasn't possible. Sure enough, when Mina walked into the house CJ got an immediate smile. He ran and gave her a hug. All is well with the world. :) Mina got to see all of the new things CJ can do and say. He hadn't grown much psychically in two months but mentally he was advancing for sure. While Mina was here, CJ got to eat ribs, cupcakes and plenty of other yummy dishes. His Mina sure can spoil him :)We can't wait for Mina's next visit.

A boy and his father

CJ's doesn't get to see his father very often as he doesn't live near us. The last time CJ and his father were together was the week of CJ's birthday. It had been awhile previous to that time as well. CJ is not that receptive to men. I wasn't expecting the best reaction when he was reunited with his dad. Surprisingly, however, it didn't go that bad. At first CJ kept his distance and kept shooting glares at his dad. This is better than his normal reaction of crying and screaming if a man comes near. By day 4, CJ and his dad were best buds. I was amazed. His dad did a good job of being hands on. I also had to step out of the picture for a day. CJ likes to put on a show when his mother is around. He would cry and scream hysterically but as soon as I left, everything was fine. That boy knows how to get my heart! Goodness! There was even a day when his dad and I took him to the doctor. Normally, CJ screams and makes a fuss as soon as we put him on the scale. Nope, not this time. He was cool, calm and collected with his dad around. I don't get it lol. I will have to schedule CJ's Dr. visits around the times his dad comes to visit from now on.

I have to say, my son is very spoiled now too. His dad had a lot of making up to do and pretty much had the mentality that if CJ wanted something, he should get it. It is funny how quickly CJ adapted to that too. Now that his dad returned to his home and CJ is back with me...I've had to deal with quite a few fits because he isn't getting that same treatment from me. I'll get him back into shape though lol. One of the things his dad got his is just too adorable, I must say. We took CJ to the Disney Store and were looking around for an affordable item that might be good for him. I turn around and CJ is holding tight to a Winnie the Pooh stuffed bear. I mean he had this bear in a death grip. Whelp, I guess he made it easy on us. It is soo cute how quickly he has drawn attached to Pooh. He must have him when he sleeps! He must have  him if we go somewhere! Pooh is his new bestfriend. It warms my heart :) Good job dad!

Another fun event, well not really, was having CJ's dad cut his hair. CJ had the best time! Can't you tell? LOL..but that short lil fro looked so much better afterwards!

Hopefully it won't be too long to till CJ and his father get some more time together.
